This November, Red Bull GIBAWAY returns with JOURNEY — a CS2 tournament in Åre with a 100,000 SEK prize pool and official VRS Tier-2 status. Organized by Black Molly Entertainment with ESPLAY and sponsored by Bredband2.

Overview

Red Bull GIBAWAY is an all-in-one getaway: hotel, food, and a fully prepared 300+ PC LAN. After two successful 2024 editions, the third arrives in November — same LAN vibe, upgraded format, and bigger prize pool. All teams are seated in the LAN and enjoy the full GIBAWAY experience. The tournament is open to all teams on a first-come, first-served basis.

To make travel simple, we offer a JOURNEY Team Package including the Red Bull GIBAWAY night train, hotel and food. Broadcast on Esportstudion (SV), English stream TBA.

Tournament Format

  • Identical setups for all teams (Ryzen 7 7800X3D · Radeon 7900 XTX · 32 GB DDR5 6000 MT/s). Monitors TBA.
  • No invites, no qualifiers — direct sign-up.
  • Teams: Max 24 (4 groups × 6 teams).
  • Groups: Round Robin BO1.
  • Playoffs: Single Elimination BO3.
  • Advancement: Group winners → Quarterfinals. 2nd vs 3rd → BO3 Knock-out for QF spots.

VRS & Invitations
  • No filters, no direct VRS invites, no wildcards.
  • Seeding uses the first official VRS ranking update in November.
  • No open qualifiers — direct sign-up only.
Compensation & Rules
  • Only prize pool payouts; no other appearance/revenue shares.
  • Integrity: Organizer may reject teams/players with VAC bans or integrity concerns.
  • No sibling/academy teams owned by the same organization in the same tournament.
  • Full rules will be released no later than two weeks before the event.
