Welcome to the next chapter of the premier Counter-Strike 2 VRS tournament series. This Autumn, ROG Journey is back at Red Bull GIBAWAY #004 to bring you a premium competitive experience hosted at the luxurious Billingehus Spa Hotel in Skövde, Sweden from 2–4 October, 2026.

Getting Here is Easy

  • Gothenburg / Landvetter: 1.5–2.5 hours by train + airport bus
  • Stockholm: 2 hours by direct train
  • Copenhagen: ~5 hours by train (via Gothenburg)
  • Oslo: 5–6.5 hours by train or bus

Hardware: PCs, monitors, tables & chairs

The matches are played on the following hardware to ensure VRS standards:

  • CPU Intel i7 12700K
  • GPU: GeForce RTX 4070 Ti EAGLE OC 12GB
  • RAM: 32GB DDR4 3600MHz
  • Screen 240 Hz BenQ
  • Gaming chairs Backforce
  • Tables: 120 x 70 cm (not height-adjustable)
  • Computers: Access to 5 PCs plus 1 coach PC, including monitors for the players. Available throughout the tournament as long as the team remains in the competition.
  • Headset In cases where teams are placed close to each other, AceZone headsets will be provided. This does not apply to all matches.

For selected matches and/or stage

  • A specific 5v5 setup with:
    • Gaming monitors: ASUS 24” ROG Strix XG248QSG Ace Super TN 610 Hz
    • Gaming chairs ROG Destrier Core Gaming Chair
  • All other hardware is the same as mentioned above.

VRS Status & Additional Info

To ensure absolute transparency and compliance with the Valve Ranking System (VRS), the tournament operates under the following framework:

4.3.2 The Additional Information shall include:

  • A definition of the filters to the VRS (if any) that Direct VRS Invites will be based on.
    • No filter, open for anyone
  • The VRS rank from which Tournament Operator will begin invitations
    • No invites.
  • The number of Rosters subject to a Direct VRS Invite and/or Wildcard Invite, if any.
    • No invites 
  • The Invitation Date.
    • No invites
  • The VRS publication date from which Direct VRS Invites will be issued.
    • No invites
  • The VRS publication date which will be used for seeding.
    • September official VRS ranking (released first Monday in September)
  • The visa region where the Tournament takes place, e.g., USA, Schengen, China, etc.
    • Tournament takes place in Sweden, which is part of EU and Schengen. All VISA applications costs belong to the Team organisations but Glitched can help visa invitation letters for the tournament participation dates.
  • Whether an Open Qualifier will be part of the Tournament and if so, the rules for such an Open Qualifier.
    • No Open Qualifier
  • Which Tournament stages are online or LAN.
    • All on LAN.
  • The prize pool and the rules for its distribution. To the degree that Tournament Operator compensates Teams, Rosters or Athletes for appearing at Tournaments in any other way (e.g. guaranteed payments for appearances, revenue shares in sponsorships or media rights etc.), Tournament Operator will publish comprehensive information of all such compensation.
    • Only the prize pool mentioned above.
  • Any integrity or conduct rules that disqualify a Roster from a Direct VRS Invite. Disqualification rules cannot be selectively applied at the discretion of the Tournament Operator. They must be transparent, based exclusively on specific objective criteria, and applied irrespective of the affected Roster or circumstances surrounding the Tournament.
    • ROG Journey reserve the right to decline any team affiliated with other teams, such as academic teams or teams sharing ownership
    • ROG Journey reserve the right to decline a participant or ban a player/team if information is received from third party integrity partners, including but not limited to: ESIC, Oddin, GRID, or other major tournament organisers such as EFG, BLAST, PGL, or CCT.
    • This applies to involvement in match-fixing, cheating or similar activities leading up to the event


Cancelation Policy

  • More than 6 weeks before the first tournament day:
    • The team is replaced by a team from the waiting list.
    • 75 % refund of the participation fee.
  • More than 4 weeks before the first tournament day:
    • The team is replaced by a team from the waiting list.
    • 50 % refund of participation fee.
  • Less than 4 weeks before the first day of the tournament:
    • The team is replaced by a team from the waiting list.
    • No refund of the participation fee.
  • Less than 2 weeks until the first tournament day:
    • The team receive a Walkover (WO) in their matches.
    • No refund of the participation fee.

ROG Journey CS2 Prize Money Policy

Journey reserves the right to deduct prize money if a team or player fails to adhere to the official tournament rules (the full rulebook will be shared at least 2 weeks before the tournament). Specific deductions will apply if a team or player does not turn up for the official prize-giving ceremony or accumulates rule warnings. These policies apply to all participants and are non-negotiable.

How to Claim Your Prize

  • Eligibility: Prize money must be claimed by registered corporate entities, associations, or non-profit organizations. Claims cannot be made by individual players or private persons.
    • Swedish Tax Notice: Prize money is tax-free only when claimed by a registered company, association, or non-profit entity. If an individual attempts to claim prize money, it must be treated as a salary under Swedish law, meaning individual income taxes and social security contributions will be deducted. By law, one designated person must be responsible for the organizational claim.
  • Deadline: Claims must be filed within 30 days of winning, or the claim will lapse. Payouts are completed within 60 days of the event conclusion (as Journey is funded directly via corporate sponsorships).
  • Currency & Rates: Prize money is paid in USD or SEK. The fixed conversion exchange rate is based on the Riksbanken exchange rate from 2026-06-26, set at 9.72 SEK SEK (exactly 9.71625SEK) per 1 USD.
  • Compensation: No other appearance fees, guaranteed payments, or media revenue shares apply. Only the prize pool mentioned above is distributed.

To submit a successful claim, your company, association, or non-profit organization must email a valid invoice containing the following parameters:

  • Event Name: Journey Autumn 2026
  • Tournament Placement: #1–#8
  • Name of Team/Organization: [Insert Team Name]
  • Contact Details: Name of contact person, email, and telephone number (including country code).
  • EU Invoices: Must explicitly include a valid VAT number or clearly indicate local VAT exemption (e.g., "Exempt from VAT under local rules").
